Flood protection dams by Protan Elmark have ITP AT/18-2012-0054-00 Technical Approval and are designed to protect land from flooding.
They may be used as complementary measures with existing protection (e.g. flood protection embankments) in case of a possibility of water overflow and embankments interruption.
The system also allows protecting individual facilities, e.g. residential buildings, water intakes, treatment plants, fuel stations etc. It may also be used to build small retention basins, water reservoirs for fire protection purposes, mobile manure tanks (provided that tank bottom is sealed) etc., and to make controlled outflows on prepared areas (e.g. riverside meadows).
Modules are equipped in two hydrant valves used to fill modules with water, to evacuate air during filling and to release water following flood protection actions. A single flood protection dam module is equipped in a sleeve used to connect another module. It allows building unlimited length of a ?bridge? of flood protection dams.
